I know I haven't blogged in a while!!!

I kno this is a little late, but over spring break we went to Hollywild Zoo with Jaxon, Addison, Tara, and both Nana's. Zuri wasn't too sure about the animals at first, but she quickly began to warm up and wanted to pet them all.

Happy Mother's Day to me. I had a wonderful Mother's Day. I am so proud to be Zuri's mother. She is a true blessing from God. My whole life has changed over the last year and I wouldn't ask for it to be any other way. For my Mother's Day gift, we had family pictures made at Chattooga Belle, a farm in Long Creek. I will post those as soon as I get them.Zuri loves to pull everything out of the cabinets. She has found that she is just the right size to sit in the cabinet. It is now her hiding place. She closes the cabinet and waits for us to say "Where is Zuri, Where'd she go?" It is so cute.

Look at that CRAZY hair. Zuri had her hair in pig tails for the day and it stayed when she got in the bath. Zuri loves bath time, her favorite thing is filling her cup with the running water and pouring it on her. However, she doesn't seem to fond of the pool, I guess it to big.
Daddy and Zuri hanging out watching "Little Einstiens".

I am sorry I haven't blogged in a while. By the time I finally get Zuri to bed allI want to do i relax, so I have been lazy about blogging. And it is almost impossilbe to even use the computer while she is around, she thinks she is supposed to type too. I only have 8 more days of school, so hopefully I will be better this summer.

Easter 2010

Now that all the cousins are old enough we decided to have an Easter egg hunt. Addison and Zuri had so much fun walking around and picking up the candy filled eggs. The dogs didn't mind either because the girls loved sharing with them.

My Little Reader

Zuri absolutely loves books. She will bring you a book and climb up in your lap to be read to. It is the sweetest thing. I will find myself sitting in the middle of the kitchen or bathroom floor reading a book to her because she brings them to me while I am getting ready or cooking and I can't deny reading to her. I love it.
So the other day I walked into her room and she was just sitting there looking through her book. She sat there for a good 5 minutes just flipping through the book. Maybe thats a sign she is going to be really smart :)

Just an Update

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!
Tinkerbell driving Zuri around.
Tinkerbell stayed with us while mom and dad went to the beach. Zuri loved every minute of it...but I'm not sure Tinkerbell did. She plays with Zuri for a while but when she is done she wants to be left alone; however, Zuri could play with her all day.

Taking a big girl bath in Mommy's tub.
Zuri has grown so much. She truely amazes me everyday. She does something new every time I turn around. She is listening very well...well, when she wants to. She is truely a blessing and I can't wait until this summer so I can spend all day with her.

Zuri had so much fun in the snow. She never complained about the cold. She had a blast riding on the tube, watching the dogs, and watching her cousins. I am so glad we had a big snow so we could enjoy it as a family.
Zuri loves her Cozy Coupe. Nana and Papa Swain gave it to her for her birthday. But I hope all she ever drinks in her car is milk :)

Praise the Lord

We had tubes today...it went great. It was as easy a process as everyone said. The only thing no one warned me about was how Zuri would act in the recovery room. She was fighting mad. She would not quit screaming and throwing herself around. I thought for sure she was in pain, but they reassured me it was just the medicine wearing off...they were right. Once we got out of the recovery room and in the car she was much better. She is truely back to her old self. Hopefully we will be ear infection free for a while...maybe even forever. Thank you all for your prayers for Zuri and for our anxiety.
Also, God is truely AMAZING. As of yesterday, Zuri had a fever...which she had for severl days, the doctor said she was ok for the surgery, but they may not do it because of the fever. I prayed over her and asked God to take this fever away from her. That night she was fever free, the surgery went well, and she feels much better.
We do serve and AWESOME God!!!
Thank you all for being such great friends and family.
