What's Been Happening the Past 6 months

I tried to put these pictures as close to in order as possible. I have been so bad about updating our blog. I promise it will not be 6 months before I update it again. We have been so blessed over the last 6 months. I LOVED every second of staying home this summer with Zuri. We have started back to school and Zuri will start pre-school September 1st. She seems to be excited about school. She says she's going to sing and learn about Jesus.

Our Family Pictures at Rock Creek and the Farm

Our trip to the Greenville Zoo with our friends Nolan and Parker. Zuri loves those guys.

We have had so much fun this summer hanging out with Jaxon and Addison. I am so glad Zuri and Addison will be close. Sometimes they fight like sisters, but they truely love each other. We had our first sleepover this summer. Addison stayed at our house and did great. We tried to let Zuri sleep over, that lasted until about 7:00. Lovin on sweet Baby Parker.
Zuri's first jet ski ride. She LOVED it!

We took Josie back to see her friends at the Cabbage Patch Factory. Meggie had her 2nd birthday party there. Josie loved seeing her old friends ;)
Zuri and Josie in thier matching outfits, thanks to Ashley.
Our first camping trip was a success. Zuri thought it was so much fun...so much fun that she didn't sleep at all the first night. She kept saying I want to go 'camper', meaning I want to go camping.

Our camping buddies. Kailyn and Madilyn. Madilyn and Zuri will be in the same class this year at Earles Grove pre-school.

Surprise Trip to the Children's Museum

Tyler decided to surprise Zuri and me and take us to the Children's Museum in Greenville. We had so much fun. When we left the museum we went to Mellow Mushroom for lunch, Spill the Beans for ice cream, then a walk in Falls Park. It could not have been a better family day. We had so much fun.

Zuri really enjoyed 'shopping' at Bi-Lo. It was so cute. They had little carts and all the food. Then they even got to check out the food themselves.

Zuri was sliding down the 'stomach'.

Feel the wind!! Zuri loved the wind tunnel.

Where has 2 years gone?

Where has 2 years gone? My baby girl is not a baby anymore. She is an independant toddler full of personality. This has been the best 2 years of our lives. Zuri has grown so much. She is out of diapers and out of a crib. We also got rid of 'uh-oh' at 23 months. She is in love with Pooh and Tigger so of course her birthday party was just that. She was so funny...I told her she was going to have a Pooh cake and her first words were, 'No, I want Tigger."...so of course she got Tigger instead...can we say SPOILED.
Zuri and her birthday muffin. She now thinks everytime we have cake, cupcakse, or muffins we are supposed to sing.

For Zuri's actually birthday we went to Baby Land General Hospital (the Cabbage Patch hospital). Nana K, Papa, and Moppy came along. We had so much fun. The place was set up with different scenes, all with Cabbage Patch Kids. It was sooo darn cute. Zuri played, and played, and played.

Zuri is trying to figure out why dolls have food in front of them.

As cute as one of the dolls.
Hmmmm...which one do I want?
Oh my goodness look at all of those babies!
Zuri and her new baby Josie Kate.
She is so sweet with Josie. She wakes up in the morning asking for 'Dosey'...it took me a while to figure out who she was asking for. She wants Josie all day...it is so sweet.
Finally, while we were there Zurie (yes they spelled it wrong) Kate was born from Mother Tree. She was delivered by an LPN (Liscened Patch Nurse). She weighed 1 lb 1 oz and was 15 inches long.
We had so much fun at BLG. I loved watching Zuri run from baby to baby playing.
Thank you Lord for our Blessing.
Happy Birthday Precious Angel! We Love You!!!

Zuri's First Hair Cut

Zuri got her first hair cut today, December 30, 2010. We have been talking about it for a week and she said she was going to be a big girl...but as you can see from one of the pictures she wasn't to thrilled when she had to sit on the booster, and freaked out when Audrey tried to put the cape on. Thank goodness Nana K was there, Zuri willingly sat on her lap...after choosing a sucker to munch on during her hair cut. As much as I hated to cut her beautiful long hair, it really needed a shape up. It was all different lengths and looking scraggly. She is becoming such a big girl.

Christmas 2010

I hope everyone had a wonderful Merry Christmas. We sure did. Zuri has been so excited about "Tanta" (Santa) coming. She even started saying 'Ho, Ho' the other day. However, we want her to understand that Christmas is not about Santa but is Jesus' brithday. So we have been spending a lot of time talking about Jesus and reading books. Zuri was so much fun this year for Christmas. She woke up...at 4:45...of course...and was overly stimulated. She got a Radio Flyer wagon from Tim and Terry and Nana K and Papa got her a kitchen. She ABSOLUTELY loves her kitchen. She is hilarious playing with it. She will sit her baby in the stroller and feed it. She'll say, "want some...ok, ok" and run to her kitchen and make something. I am going to attempt to add a video of it...hope you can hear it. We have been so blessed this year and are looking forward to a wonderful 2011. We love you all and wish you a Happy New Year! Here are a few pictures of Christmas and the snow

Christmas Cards-Thanks Shutterfly

Every year I begin designing our family Christmas card in my head before I ever pick out the card. We have a lot of friends and family that live out of town, who we rarely see; so our Christmas card gives them an update of how our lives have been throughout the year. A few weeks ago I received a Shutterfly 'flier' in the mail and fell in love with their cards. I knew I would be using them this year to share Christmas with our friends and families. The problem is...which one will I choose. I can choose from:
Holiday cards---http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/holiday-cards
Photo cards--http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery

Or even order gifts for grandparents---http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/5x7-folded-greeting-cards

To all those fellow bloggers out there, you can get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly! Sign up at http://bit.ly/sfly2010.

I can't wait to pick out our Christmas cards and to share them with the people we love.
