Big Weekend

Zuri had a big weekend. On Friday she slept in her crib for the first time...and did great. I even did good, I only got up once to check on her after she ate. Then on Saturday she went to her first birthday party...Cooper Glass (Ashley's nephew). She had a blast...she slept almost the whole time. Then on Sunday we cheered on daddy at his softball game...unfortunately they lost :( THEN Zuri rolled over for real!!! She rolled over once last weekend, but couldn't figure out how to get her arm out from under her, then she rolled over today at the softball game, but she was on a hill, so she had a little help. Then, she was laying on the floor today and rolled all the way over from her back to her stomach and got her arm out...she is such a big girl! I guess there is no leaving her alone on the bed now.

Happy 3 Months Old Zuri!

Wow!!! Zuri is already 3 months old. I can't believe my 12 weeks of maternity leave are already over and I am back at work. I really enjoyed my time with her and didn't want it to end. She is smiling so much now and cooing and laughing . She thinks she is a big girl...she always wants to stand, if you lay her down she will scream until you stand her back up...she is already working us :) She is trying real hard to roll over...she rolled over once last Saturday from her back to her stomach, but she couldn't figure out how to get her arm out from under her. She keeps trying but hasn't mastered rolling over again. She is a true blessing from God, I never knew I could love someone so much!

Back to Work :(

Well I had to go back to work on Monday...it was a sad, sad day. I had a much harder time than I thought I would. I new I would miss Zuri but I didn't realize how bad until I walked out the door. I cryed all the way to school and up until my kids came in...I decided I needed to pull it together for them. After I got busy I was okay, but couldn't wait until the day was over. You better believe I won't be hanging around after school any more. Anything that doesn't get done before 3:30 will just have to wait or be done at home...she is growing too fast to miss anything. I can't believe she is already 3 months old...where does the time go?

Zuri was so tired from being so good at the sitters she knocked out cold in the bath.

Easter Pictures Take 2

Zuri was a little fussy during her Easter pictures so we decided to try to get a few on our own.  Thanks to our wonderful friend Ashley we now have several cute Easter pictures.

Happy Easter

Zuri had a great first Easter. However, we tried to have her Easter pictures made on Saturday at the Botanical Gardens and she wasn't having any of it. She was fussy at first and then went sound to sleep. I think they were able to get a few good ones awake, but the others were asleep...at least at this age sleeping pictures are still adorable. Zuri is such a big girl now. She loves sitting in her Bumbo watching mommy cook. She has her "Baby's First Easter" bib on...poor thing the bib was half her size.

Zuri had her first visit from the Easter bunny. She got a duck and a book about Easter...next year hopefully he'll bring candy.

She also got a visit from the Easter bunny at Nana K's house...she must have been a really good girl.

Cowboy Up!

This weekend Zuri's cousin's Kaitlyn and Allen came to visit. Allen loves his cowboy hat was trying to turn Zuri into a little cowgirl already. How redneck does she look in her cowboy hat and diaper?
